April 18th Crop

Hello Ladies and fellow Scrappers!! I hope all is well by you and yours!

Just a reminder about our next Scrapbooking Crop; we will host our 6th “Scrappin’ 4 Fun” Crop this Saturday, April 18th, 2009 from 9AM-5PM. It’s only a few days away!! I’ve reserved room #2 at the Mount Laurel Library located at 100 Walt Whitman Avenue, Mt. Laurel, NJ. The telephone # there is (856) 234-7319 if you have any questions and cannot, for some reason, get a hold of me. The room is located right inside the front double doors; as soon as you turn left you’ll see the room. I’ll also have a sign out in the hallway to direct you. You are welcome to come for the whole day, as most of us do, or just a few hours. We’ll have our usual Continental Breakfast including coffee, tea, OJ and water which is my responsibility. Maybe donuts or crumb cake this time, whatever you girls would like to bring in this time around for the sharing table. I will be supplying the water, coffee, tea, o.j., sugar, creamer, plastic- ware, coffee cups, napkins and tablecloths. If anyone has any new ideas besides bagels and breads, please feel free to bring it in. I want to thank our fellow scrappers who are bringing friends into our group. This year we had a few “dropouts” so we always enjoy picking up some newcomers!
Okay ladies, hope to hear from you all soon, otherwise, I’ll see you on Saturday!!

02.12.09
This is a 'blog' I wrote for South Jersey Magazine in 2005. Since that time my husband and I and my three children have been to Carlucci's at least once a month for either dinner or lunch. We shared very special occasions there, introduced friends and family to the restaurant and I've had my "girls night out" there several times. This year my husband and I will be celebrating our 27th anniversary at Carlucci's with our family and friends. Read on for my 'blog'...
Feels Like Family - 10/16/2005 by Geri Keenan. My husband and I along with our 3 children moved to this area 15 years ago from New York due to a business opportunity. Unfortunately, the opportunity just didn't suit us but decided to make this our home due to the the beautiful 'neighborhood' feeling and the convenience the Ramblewood area offered us. It was years before we could find that 'at home' feeling that our local restaurants in New York had given us. One evening my eldest son recommended Carlucci's to my husband and I. He had just started waitering there and thought we might enjoy the 'real italian cuisine' and family orientated atmosphere at Calucci's. Not only did they serve up the old-time italian custom cuisine we were used to but they immediately made us feel like we were the only patrons in the restaurant! Each time we went, they greeted us with sincerity and recognition. Something that's become almost non-existant in a lot of eat-and-run restaurants. The waiters remembered what we enjoyed and what we disliked from our previous visits and paid a lot of attention to detail. I'd like to find more of this fine dining with that old-fashioned, local restaurant feel we enjoy so much of, especially now that our children are grown up and romance is in full bloom again! Thankfully yours, Geri Keenan

Booked Crop Date & Time...

01/30/09
Hello Ladies! Hope everyone is well. I've decided to book our next Crop in the meeting room at the Mt. Laurel Library, located at 100 Walt Whitman Avenue in Mt. Laurel (across from the Court House & the Police Dept). The date remains the same, April 18th, but the time has changed to 9AM to 5PM. I'm going to set up a "sharing" table for food & drinks. I ask that everyone bring a small snack; cheese, crackers, pretzels, chips, salad, bagel quarters, drinks or anything for the group. If everyone wishes to order something out sometime during the day, then we'll do that. I will bake some snacks and bring bottled water, coffee, and the fixin's for tea & hot chocolate. I hope all of you can join us for a relaxing day out with the girls. Please feel free to ask some friends, family or a scrapbook buddy to come along. The room capacity is 70, that leaves plenty of room to spread out. Once again I look forward to seeing all of you and more at our scrapbook party!
